Apres Ski Podcast

Contributed by Andrew Halls – Beaver Creek Instructor

I am an avid Podcast Listener and was delighted to find a podcast targeted to Ski and Snowboard Instructors.  The Apré Ski School (https://www.facebook.com/apresskischool/timeline  ) podcast  is produced by Francis Do and Emily Sedlak both from Vail.  They employ a long interview format and have published 23 installments since January 2014.  It looks like they have pickup up the effort for the coming season.   I’ve listened to a few of their podcasts and have had an opportunity to hear about the professional histories from leaders of the field, exam tips from PSIA examiners themselves, detailed Movement Analysis sessions, a few good jokes for kids and lots and lots of tips.

A great podcast to get started with is interview with 32 degrees contributor and PSIA Examiner Kevin Jordan from Aspen Ski Co.  Kevin talks about how he incorporates his training from being a standup comedian, and his mother’s guidance as a writer, to propel his career teaching and writing.  Plus Kevin shares his process, going through the past two national team tryouts.
