VAIL, Colo. – Dec. 26, 2017 – With the help of recent snow storms, Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort will open additional terrain on Wednesday, December 27. Beaver Creek Resort will open Rose Bowl Express Lift (#4) with access to Stone Creek Meadows. Yesterday, Vail Mountain debuted the new Northwoods Express Lift (#11), the 10th new chair lift in 11 years.
Beginning Wednesday, Vail Mountain will operate the following lifts with access to 1,201 skiable acres:
- Gondola One
- Eagle Bahn Gondola
- Avanti Express (#2)
- Wildwood Express (#3)
- Mountain Top Express (#4)
- Riva Bahn Express (#6)
- Game Creek Express (#7)
- Born Free Express (#8)
- Northwoods Express (#11)
- Gopher Hill Lift (#12)
- Sourdough Express (#14)
- Little Eagle (#15)
Beginning Wednesday, Beaver Creek Resort will operate the following lifts with access to 578 skiable acres:
- Buckaroo Express Gondola (#1)
- Highlands Lift (#2)
- Rose Bowl Express (#4)
- Red Buffalo Express (#5)
- Centennial Express (#6)
- Riverfront Express Gondola (#7)
- Cinch Express (#8)
- Birds of Prey Express (#9)
- Strawberry Park Express (#12)
- Lower Beaver Creek Express (#15)
- Bachelor Gulch Express (#16)
- Arrow Bahn Express (#17)
- Upper Beaver Creek Express (#18)
All guests are reminded that they must observe all posted signs and closures, especially during the early-season. Closed trails may contain hazards due to early snow coverage. Accessing closed terrain is a violation of the Colorado Ski Safety Act and will result in the loss of skiing privileges and could involve prosecution and a fine.
