What is Talons Challenge?
Showcasing the best steeps Beaver Creek has to offer. Conquer all 14 runs, over 26,000 vertical feet of Black Diamond and Double Black Diamond terrain, and earn a spot on the Talons Wall-of-Fame!
All finishers receive lunch, a special gift, a commemorative pin, a chance to win amazing prizes at the après party, and more!

Talons Challenge tickets do NOT include lift ticket. Participants must supply their own pass or lift ticket.
Event Check-In
Before starting, all participants must pick-up a credential. Skip the lines and pick up credential on Friday for a faster start on Saturday. Participants who pick up credentials on Friday do not need to check in on Saturday.
Friday Credential Pick-Up (Best way to skip lines!):
3:30-5:30PM – Located at the Covered Bridge Bus Stop
Saturday Credential Pick-Up:
8:00-10:00AM – Covered Bridge Bus Stop
8:30AM – Talons Restaurant
How to Complete the Challenge
Credential Punches: After each run, participants will have their credential punched by volunteers at the bottom of lifts 9 (Birds of Prey), 10 (Grouse), and 11 (Larkspur).
Complete All 14 Runs: Once all 14 runs are completed, participants check-in at the Finisher tent at Talons Restaurant to receive their Talons Challenge hat and pin.
Event Day Details
Food and Drink: Participants are eligible for complimentary lunch at Talons Restaurant, redeemable at any time throughout the day. For those over 21, you can also enjoy one free beer in your commemorative Talons Challenge pint cup provided by Michelob Ultra.
Lunch will be available at Talons Restaurant from 11am – 3pm.
Sponsor Village: Stop by the sponsor tents at Talons Restaurant and enjoy giveaways and more from Helly Hansen, Michelob Ultra, Nature Valley and more.
Aid Station: Snacks, water and Gatorade will be served up at the Aid Station tent at Talons Restaurant by SOS Outreach Volunteers.
Après Party at Talons Restaurant: Soak up the sun on the Talons deck while enjoying live music, food, drinks, and giveaways.
Parking & Transportation
Parking: Limited parking is available in Beaver Creek Village. Parking is also available at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain in the Bear and Elk Lots, with complimentary shuttles to the Village.
